SAVE

The SAVE Virtual Reality Simulator

is the life-size Virtual Reality simulator for training oil refinery operators.

Proven in intensive operational usage

Following several years in collaborative-development and trials with OMV, the SAVE simulator has been in full operational use at the OMV refinery in Vienna since 2006.

SAVE is a full-size, fully-immersive simulator used in conjunction with a head-mounted display. Trainees navigate throughout a full-size virtual training refinery, operating virtual plant and equipment.

The SAVE simulator immerses the user in a realistic virtual training refinery environment. The user experiences the environment by means of a head-mounted display and headphones. Trainees navigate throughout the virtual training refinery, operating virtual plant and equipment. SAVE is used to train refinery operators on the safe and correct use of equipment and procedures.
